　　Dr Farouq Thabet is an attending Pediatric Neurologist at Sidra Medicine and Assistant Prof of Clinical Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar. Dr Thabet completed his medical school at Al Anbar University in Iraq. He then finished his pediatric residency at Al Makassed hospital in Jerusalem, Palestine. Dr Thabet has completed his pediatric residency training at Michigan State University in Michigan, USA and completed his pediatric neurology fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, USA. Dr Thabet is American Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Pediatrics.

　　Before joining Sidra, Dr Thabet worked as a consultant pediatric neurologist at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa, USA. He is adjunct Assistant Professor of Specialty Medicine at Des Moines University in Iowa, USA.

　　Dr Thabet has several publications in the field of pediatric neurology. He was awarded Award for Excellence in General Pediatric Inpatient Medicine by department of pediatrics at Michigan State University.
